Longtime lurker here, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Median household income is $52,170, which feels on the lower side for the area. The unemployment rate is 5.5%, which is about average. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Greenfield. It's decent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in legal. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally challenging. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: tough. Tons of options if you like seafood.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Dallas about 8 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Lots of new development happening
Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are pricey, gas is tough.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are stable, gas is pretty good.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
