Is Lansing good for remote workers?

Hello, Rent is about $976/month for a decent place. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What are your go-to spots? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in South. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Public transit is pretty good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.
