Pros and cons of Lantana after 9 years

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm retired and Rent is about $1,590/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 5.6%, which is about average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Would love some local perspective.

My experience has been mostly positive. it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd watch out for is outdoor recreation. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want nightlife, then yeah this place is great. But if public transit matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it exceeded my expectations. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much growing but now it's better than expected.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
