I'm a 33-year-old nurse and The median home value here is around $188,900, which is actually reasonable. Household incomes average around $68,028 in Laplace. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Thanks! Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.
