Hey everyone, Been living here since 2024. You can expect to pay around $1,097 for rent here. With a population of 28,480, Laplace is a smaller city. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.
I've been here 9 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is average.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
