OK so Median household income is $63,264, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider — Laredo sits at 315.6 per 100K. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 11 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
