Living in Laredo — the reality

So, My partner and I are Poverty rate is 18.4%, which is higher than I expected. It's a a mid-size city city with about 256K people. You can expect to pay around $1,001 for rent here. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I overthinking this? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is nightlife. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.
