So, Been living here since 2011. Homes are going for about $182,400 on average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 5 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are competitive, gas is solid.
Socially, I love the pace of life here. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Bought a house here in 2016 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone down slightly since then.
