Alright, The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 8.0%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Houston about 14 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Strong job market in several industries
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are growing, gas is decent.
Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Definitely worth checking out..

I'm a social worker and I've found it exceeded my expectations. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.
I've been here 8 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is average.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
