Planning a move to Largo -neighborhoods?

I'm a 42-year-old lawyer and Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Thoughts? It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

The food scene here is underrated. Tons of great Mexican places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 6 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

I've lived in Eastside for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Lots of new development happening
- The food scene scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

My experience has been mostly positive. it's improved dramatically in recent years. The only thing I'd watch out for is housing market. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value traffic, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely decent and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (North) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from LA, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Limited entertainment options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 12 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
