First post here. We have two kids and Household incomes average around $78,846 in Larimore. Rent is about $677/month for a decent place. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What are your go-to spots? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Meadowbrook. It's solid for what you get.
Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in engineering. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
