I'm retired and Homes are going for about $670,800 on average. With a population of 8,861, Larkfield-Wikiup is a small town. Crime rate is something to consider -Larkfield-Wikiup sits at 314.4 per 100K. Poverty rate is 4.3%, which is pretty low. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Am I overthinking this? TIA! It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want public transit, then yeah this place is great. But if public transit matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Austin about 11 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are wild, gas is average.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Feel free to reach out with questions..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is excellent in most areas.
