I'm a 35-year-old software engineer and Average temperature is around 66--F, so the weather is moderate. With a population of 113K, Las Cruces is a mid-size city. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Thoughts? It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Eastside. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in consulting. If you're in marketing you might struggle.
People: Generally better than expected. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like seafood.
