Co-working spaces in Las Cruces?

OK so Poverty rate is 17.1%, which is higher than I expected. Homes are going for about $217,400 on average. The unemployment rate is 4.4%, which is about average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Anyone in a similar situation? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if public transit matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is average in most areas.

I've lived in Uptown for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Four distinct seasons
- The walkability scene is tough

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for singles. Good luck with whatever you decide..

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in Downtown area are excellent. Kids love it here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 10 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value weather, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely average and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (Fairview) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Miami, be prepared for the culture shock. school system is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in South. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in tech. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. dating scene used to be much growing but now it's surprisingly good.

Bought a house here in 2015 and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
