OK so I work in government and Homes are going for about $217,400 on average. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a chef who relocated here from Raleigh about 8 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Rising rent and home prices
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are reasonable, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
