Is Las Cruces worth it salary-wise?

So, I'm single, late 20s, and With a population of 113K, Las Cruces is a mid-size city. Poverty rate is 17.1%, which is higher than I expected. Median household income is $55,176, which feels about average for the area. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if cultural scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it exceeded my expectations. Internet is decent in most areas.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is job market. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..
