Las Vegas in the winter -how bad?

OK so We have two kids and Average temperature is around 49--F, so expect cold winters. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Would love some local perspective. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I've lived in Sunset for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Lots of new development happening
- The public transit scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Summers can be brutally hot

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. Hope this helps!.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is weather. it's been a really good experience overall. Worth doing your research before committing.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 1 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
