Is Las Vegas losing its charm?

Genuine question:

We relocated for my husband's job in construction. People here are friendlier than I expected coming from Pittsburgh.

I'm paying /mo for a 1-bed in The Lakes and honestly is fair for the location. I'm paying /mo for a 1-bed in The Lakes and honestly is fair for the location.

The food scene in The Lakes is honestly incredible. I don't understand why more people don't talk about The Lakes.

Anyone else feel the same?

Gonna share a detailed perspective since most replies are pretty surface-level.

I'm a military vet in Arts District. Been here since 2019. The parks system here is underrated..

Neighborhood-wise, Arts District has really shifted in the past few years. Downtown is the up-and-coming spot right now. Boulder City area is where I'd look if budget is a concern.

Job market for hospitality: improving. For hospitality: growing.

I keep discovering new spots even after {yr} years.

Honestly it depends on what you prioritize. If affordability matters most, then yeah Las Vegas is great. But if you need diversity, might want to look at The Lakes instead.
