Is Las Vegas's economy growing or stagnating?

Hey everyone,

I grew up here, left for college, and came back 10 years ago. The airport connections are underrated which matters if you travel.

The weather averaging 67F year-round is {weather_feel}. I'm paying /mo for a 1-bed in Rhodes Ranch and honestly is getting ridiculous.

The school system in Rhodes Ranch is actually underrated. The weather took some getting used to but I actually love it now.

Anyone else feel the same?

Parent of two in Boulder City area. Schools are excellent here. Nightlife is decent if you know where to go.. Would recommend visiting before deciding.

Great question. Here's my honest take after 8 years:

The good:
- Affordable compared to coastal cities
- Nice downtown area
- Low commute times

The not-so-good:
- Property taxes
- Homelessness visible downtown

Grocery prices are creeping up but still manageable.. I'd say for couples, Las Vegas is great. Feel free to ask specifics.

Gonna share a detailed perspective since most replies are pretty surface-level.

I'm a couple in our 30s in Boulder City area. Been here since 2020. Honestly the biggest downside is {downside}..

Neighborhood-wise, Boulder City area has really changed in the past few years. Henderson is the up-and-coming spot right now. Rhodes Ranch is where I'd look if budget is a concern.

Job market for tech: pretty good. For nonprofit: affordable.

I feel like {city} is becoming more expensive without getting better.
