Rhodes Ranch local here. People here are friendlier than I expected coming from {other}.. If you need specific recommendations feel free to ask.

Let me give you the perspective nobody asked for but everyone needs.

I've lived in Downtown, The Lakes, and currently in Green Valley. Each one feels like a different city honestly.

Rent comparison:
- Downtown: /mo for a 2-bed
- The Lakes: about /mo
- Green Valley: /mo but solid

I've never felt unsafe walking around {hood} at night.. The key is finding your neighborhood. Once you do, Las Vegas really clicks. Hope that helps!

Just to add another data point - we moved from Baltimore about 11 years ago. Traffic has gotten noticeably worse in the past year.. No regrets so far.

As someone who lives in Summerlin, The {industry} scene here is really picking up.. That said, it depends on your budget.

My experience has been different actually. I found that I feel like {city} is becoming more expensive without getting better.. Maybe it depends on which part of Las Vegas you're in.

Gonna share a detailed perspective since most replies are pretty surface-level.

I'm a couple in our 30s in Centennial Hills. Been here since 2017. Honestly the biggest downside is {downside}..

Neighborhood-wise, Centennial Hills has really grown in the past few years. Southern Highlands is the up-and-coming spot right now. Boulder City area is where I'd look if budget is a concern.

Job market for retail: solid. For finance: growing.

I've never felt unsafe walking around {hood} at night.
