Hey folks, I relocated for work and The median home value here is around $605,000, which is pretty steep. Homes are going for about $605,000 on average. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Fairview. It's better than expected for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in finance. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Indian.
Happy to answer more specific questions..

Came here for work and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The walkability is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
