Hey folks, It's a a smaller city city with about 32,696 people. Poverty rate is 7.3%, which is pretty low. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Let me know your thoughts. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Used to live on the Westside side, now on the West side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely improving and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Westside) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Tampa, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Limited shopping options.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a writer who relocated here from Nashville about 4 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Four distinct seasons
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Chain restaurants dominate
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is underrated.
Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Definitely worth checking out..
