Anyone else love living in Lattingtown?

Hey folks, Born and raised here. Crime rate is something to consider -Lattingtown sits at 22.0 per 100K. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Would love some local perspective. Appreciate any input. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 4 years ago. The main reasons were work and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good internet infrastructure
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are established, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
