What surprised you most about Lauderdale Lakes?

Hey everyone, My family moved here when I was a kid. The unemployment rate is 4.9%, which is about average. The weather takes some getting used to. Does this match your experience? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 5 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Sunset side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
