Average temperature is around 45--F, so bundle up in winter. You can expect to pay around $1,358 for rent here. The median home value here is around $273,600, which seems about average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Chicago about 4 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Good airport with direct flights
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are manageable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is safety. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.

The food scene here is solid. Tons of great craft beer places. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.
