Why I chose Laughlin over bigger cities
Hello, Born and raised here. Rent is about $991/month for a decent place. It's a a small town city with about 8,643 people. The unemployment rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.
Pros:
- Friendly people
- Low crime in most areas
- Close to nature
Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Hot summers
- Lack of diversity
- Few job opportunities in some fields
