Is Laurel good for remote workers?

I'm a teacher here and Rent is about $1,497/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $272,300, which seems about average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Is this normal for Laurel? TIA!

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Riverside. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in tech. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Hope this helps!.
