Honest thoughts on life in Laurens

Alright, I'm a 25-year-old mechanic and Average temperature is around 61--F, so the weather is moderate. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Let me know your thoughts. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 13 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
