Moving to Laurinburg for work -advice?

With a population of 15,079, Laurinburg is a small town. Homes are going for about $121,500 on average. Household incomes average around $39,258 in Laurinburg. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. Am I overthinking this? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Four distinct seasons
- The housing market scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..
