Working in Laurinburg -salaries realistic?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm retired and Average temperature is around 64--F, so the weather is moderate. Crime rate is something to consider -Laurinburg sits at 1,071.8 per 100K. The weather takes some getting used to. What are your go-to spots? The city has invested a lot in new development.

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.
