Affordable areas near Lawndale?
OK so Been living here since 2013. With a population of 31,113, Lawndale is a smaller city. Household incomes average around $83,538 in Lawndale. Rent is about $1,847/month for a decent place. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
Pros:
- Close to nature
- Lots of new development
- Strong sense of community
- Active local events
Cons:
- High property taxes
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Not enough green space
Any advice would be great. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.
