Couple moving to Lawrence from out of state

Not sure if this has been asked before, but My family moved here when I was a kid. Homes are going for about $220,400 on average. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. the quality of life is solid. Worth doing your research before committing.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Internet is surprisingly good in most areas.
