How is the nightlife in Lawrence?

So, I'm single, late 30s, and Poverty rate is 5.4%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $73,455 in Lawrence. Median household income is $73,455, which feels about average for the area. Homes are going for about $220,400 on average. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Looking forward to hearing from you all. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 3 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
