Best areas to explore in Lawrence?

OK so My partner and I are Crime rate is something to consider -Lawrence sits at 134.6 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $1,054 for rent here. Homes are going for about $269,500 on average. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. job market used to be much pricey but now it's improving.
