First time home buyer in Lawrence
Longtime lurker here, Been living here since 2015. Homes are going for about $269,500 on average. With a population of 95,459, Lawrence is a smaller city. The median home value here is around $269,500, which seems about average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. TIA! People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.
