Commute times in Lawrenceville -how bad?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a teacher here and Household incomes average around $58,606 in Lawrenceville. Homes are going for about $335,100 on average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. Anyone in a similar situation? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Bought a house here in 2017 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Portland about 12 years ago. The main reasons were family and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good healthcare facilities
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are developing, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Good luck with whatever you decide..
