What's it really like living in Layton?

Been meaning to ask this. I've been here for 12 years and You can expect to pay around $1,455 for rent here. With a population of 82,512, Layton is a smaller city. Rent is about $1,455/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. Let me know your thoughts. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to.

Used to live on the Fairview side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. it was the best decision I ever made.

We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in Westside area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.

I've been living here for 8 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The community vibe is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

Bought a house here in 2021 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to Austin it's tough.
