Anyone else love living in League City?

I'm a college student here and It's a a mid-size city city with about 115K people. The unemployment rate is 2.5%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 72--F, so it's warm year-round. Rent is about $1,628/month for a decent place. Median household income is $119,870, which feels pretty solid for the area. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Growing food scene
- Easy commute
- Plenty of shopping options
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Sprawl everywhere
- Lack of diversity
- Boring for young people
- Homelessness issues downtown
Has anyone dealt with this? The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 5 years ago. The main reasons were school and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are pricey, gas is average.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. No regrets on my end..
