Housing in League City compared to Miami

Curious what people think. I'm a teacher here and Average temperature is around 72--F, so it's warm year-round. With a population of 115K, League City is a mid-size city. Crime rate is something to consider -League City sits at 110.6 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 2.5%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. What are your go-to spots? Thanks! Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is traffic. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

The food scene here is underrated. Tons of great craft beer places. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

As someone who grew up here, it's been a really good experience overall. A lot has changed in the past few years though. traffic used to be much established but now it's surprisingly good.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
