Cheapest neighborhoods in Leakesville?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I grew up here but left for a while. With a population of 5,564, Leakesville is a small town. It's a a small town city with about 5,564 people. Homes are going for about $111,300 on average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Low crime in most areas
- Easy commute
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Hot summers
- Not very walkable
- Limited cultural events
- Chain restaurants dominate
What would you do? Thanks! The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Sunset for 1 years. Moved from Pittsburgh for a fresh start. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is hit or miss. We bought in 2016 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
real estate is strong here. construction is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are competitive for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The outdoor scene is underrated - we have ski resorts within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Sunset schools are improving. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Nightlife is limited. Road conditions need improvement. And outdoor recreation can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 7/10. Hope this helps!. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Used to live on the Cedar Grove side, now on the Highland side. Completely different vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here.
