Hey folks, Household incomes average around $65,745 in Leakesville. It's a a small town city with about 5,564 people. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Bought a house here in 2021 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

I work in marketing here and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market for my field is decent. No regrets on my end..

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

Bought a house here in 2019 and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to San Diego it's solid.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Baltimore about 5 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Four distinct seasons
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Limited shopping options
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are developing, gas is solid.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. No regrets on my end..

The food scene here is better than expected. Tons of great Thai places. it's exactly what I was looking for.
