Career opportunities in Leander, TX

OK so I'm single, late 40s, and Homes are going for about $470,700 on average. With a population of 67,880, Leander is a smaller city. Crime rate is something to consider -Leander sits at 109.3 per 100K. Median household income is $140,180, which feels pretty solid for the area. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Worth the trade-offs? Thanks in advance! Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 9 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
