Random thought, My family moved here when I was a kid. Crime rate is something to consider -Leavenworth sits at 688.5 per 100K. It's a a smaller city city with about 37,176 people. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
