First post here. Median household income is $71,239, which feels about average for the area. With a population of 37,176, Leavenworth is a smaller city. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Hot take but there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. I know a lot of people disagree but after 4 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 5 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Oak Park side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..
