Longtime lurker here, Poverty rate is 5.4%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $179,200 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Lebanon sits at 514.5 per 100K. With a population of 17,575, Lebanon is a small town. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Fairview. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in retail you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Italian.
Feel free to reach out with questions..

Used to live on the Uptown side, now on the Fairview side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.

I've lived in Riverside for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Decent public transit for the size
- The cultural scene scene is decent
The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Road conditions need improvement
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. No regrets on my end..
