Affordable areas near Lebanon?

First post here. I relocated for work and The unemployment rate is 4.4%, which is about average. With a population of 15,157, Lebanon is a small town. It's a a small town city with about 15,157 people. Median household income is $42,157, which feels on the lower side for the area. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Pros:
- Nice parks and trails
- Diverse community
- Good internet infrastructure
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Hot summers
- Cold winters
- Boring for young people
- Mosquitoes and humidity
Appreciate any input. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 5 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
