What's it really like living in Lebanon?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Poverty rate is 14.1%, which is around average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The weather is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 10 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are developing, gas is better than expected.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Definitely worth checking out..
