Freelancing from Lebanon -experience?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Median household income is $47,439, which feels on the lower side for the area. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. The median home value here is around $143,200, which is actually reasonable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Is this normal for Lebanon? Appreciate any input. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in East. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.
