Worst things about Lebanon nobody talks about

Alright, I'm a remote worker and Poverty rate is 19.3%, which is higher than I expected. Household incomes average around $47,439 in Lebanon. Homes are going for about $143,200 on average. Median household income is $47,439, which feels on the lower side for the area. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Has anyone dealt with this? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Miami it's pretty good.

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Denver about 11 years ago. The main reasons were work and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Decent public transit for the size
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are growing, gas is better than expected.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
