Hey everyone, Poverty rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Should I be concerned? Looking forward to hearing from you all. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Pine Hills. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in construction you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Italian.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is traffic. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The dating scene is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.
I've been here 13 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is pretty good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Definitely worth checking out..

Bought a house here in 2015 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if community vibe matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in The Heights. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in government. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Thai.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to San Diego it's hit or miss.
